| 내용 | 1. About ISS: - Institutional Shareholder Services, Inc. (ISS) is the world’s leading provider of proxy voting and corporate governance services with over 20 years of experience. ISS serves more than 1,300 institutional and corporate clients worldwide with its core business – analyzing proxies and issuing informed research and objective vote recommendations for more than 33,000 companies across 115 markets worldwide. - ISS’ core businesses include global proxy services and database and research tools for institutional investors. Our research and proxy voting policies are designed on the premise that good corporate governance ultimately results in increased shareholder value. 2. INTERNSHIP(in Singapore office): - period : Beginning of Jan.08~Mid of Mar.08 - salary : Competitive 3. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Analyze corporate governance and financial information to write research reports on publicly traded companies in Korea and other market(s) if necessary; - Issue proxy vote recommendations for shareholder meetings of the companies in your markets; - Develop market expertise in corporate governance, investment, and shareholder issues gathered through fundamental research and engagement with company executives, institutional investors, and various organizations and government/regulatory/listing authorities; and - Search through country publications to obtain proxy materials; contact companies to obtain proxy materials. 4. SKILLS: - Strong analytical ability and financial understanding of investment issues; - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in both Korean and English, be analytical and detail-oriented, have a keen sense of judgment, and be goal-oriented; Must be a self-starter who is internally-motivated, adaptive, tenacious, resilient, and resourceful; - Proficient in the use of web-based and Microsoft Office applications; - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks; and - Work independently, take initiatives and interact with the other team members; able to work under stressful situations. 5. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: - Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Political Science, Community Development, Social Sciences, or any related courses; - Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
